WordCamp Vancouver sneaks in…

by Patrick Havens

I just mention a couple WordCamps… and the next day a WordCamp right next door is mentioned.  I guess this would be sorta considered WordCamp Canada heh?

On Wed. April the 30th from 5:30 to 8:30pm we are getting together at the Network Hub to share and exchange tips and how-tos on Wordpress and blogging in general. We will also learn how to reach a larger audience by using a Wordpress blog in conjunction with other web services and Social Networking websites such as Flickr, YouTube, Slideshare, Facebook, and Google Calendar.

That said… hope to hear more are going…

They cleared things up for me which makes this a bit confusing. This is a WordPress Camp – not a WordCamp. It’s a sort of barcamp for WordPress users, especially for members of the Tazzu Community while still open to the public. It’s more of a combination meetup meets workshop rather than a WordCamp. It was very confusing to me, but still, I do hope that they or someone else will get a WordCamp going in Vancouver, which would be an awesome spot.

Ahhh sort of a WordPress meetup sorta kinda. Though a workshop does sound kind of interesting. Personally I agree… it’d also make a great excuse to revisit Seattle and perhaps wave hello to Randy Stewart.
