And Attendance is growing for SF 2008
by Patrick HavensLast year I had tried (with not the greatest success) to do brief who are theys of everyone going to WordCamp. And I did get a few compliments and how they enjoyed it. But at the same time I figured that some were weirded out by it. And I wasn’t wanting to cause any issues or rock the boat per say. But I want to allow everyone to get to know sorta who all is going this year, so I’ll debate brief bios and just post names and links for now. it allows for better conversations and a more interesting time going in realizing that there are other people like you, and also everyone is interesting in their way.
So here is the list of Attendees as posted currently. I’m sure you’ll recognize some names and others seem to note projects/blogs you may not know they are affiliated too.
(note a couple people had tried posting more then 1 link… and in cleaning up I knocked them down to the 1. Note others don’t have blogs and they link to their favorite blog service.)
EDIT: Rather then creating a new post for the 25+ new people, I’m editing this one. Also because I like how they added the Gravataar next to each person. (note each one was MD5′d so the email address used to register is still hidden.) I’ll try and figure out how to gracefully repair the fact that many do not have gravataars. (Auto sub if one isn’t available, I used to remember how.)

Great stuff Patrick! I’m super excited for Wordcamp. I’ve spent the last 4 years in game development at http://www.garagegames.com and http://www.instantaction.com. I just switched gears and have been getting into WordPress as part of a new startup I’m involved with. Can’t wait for Wordcamp, we’re taking a car down with a few guys here from Eugene, OR, we’re a mix of web and game developers.

Cool to hear Timothy. I’ve been involved in game development before… it seems more gaming companies are noting how much more effective and easier it can be to advertise and grow momentum using WordPress as a communications tool.
Hope to see you there.
