Charles Stricklin of the popular “The WordPress Podcast” has started a WordCamp LinkedIn group for WordCamp enthusiasts and those interested in starting a WordCamp. So far, the members include some of the best around WordPress and blogging.

WordCampED announced that their registration is now closed as the event is fully booked nearly ten days in advance.

WordCampNOLA in New Orleans has been announced and a Twitter account set up to generate interest. They are looking at scheduling the event in March 2009. If you are interested in helping out, check out their WordCampNOLA Twitter.

The first WordCampED, WordCamp for educators, is scheculed for November 22, 2008, in Washington D.C.
